Did you know that
Sammy's has
5 complete dinners for $20 or less?
Sammy's Ye Old Cider Mill doesn't have a sign out front to
signify that "this is the place". The loyal, sophisticated clientele who
keep coming back to this unique roadside restaurant don't need signs or fancy décor.
They simply yearn for Sammy's magnificent dry-aged Black Angus T-Bone steaks;
lobsters that taste like they were just plucked from the water; enormous cuts of lamb,
veal and pork chops; crisp salads with homemade wine vinegar dressing; fabulous shoestring
fries; farm fresh vegetables that vary with the season; homemade desserts and an
impressive wine list. Also available are shrimp scampi Sammy's style; vodka pasta;
and seasonal soft shell crabs and stone crabs. The Zagat Restaurant Survey rated
Sammy's as one of the top steakhouses in New Jersey. Sammy's is a recipient of
the Five Star Diamond Award by the American Academy of Hospitality Sciences and also
received the 2007 Wine Spectator's Award of Excellence for their wine list.
Established in 1933 and now run by third generation family members, Sam, Phil and MaryAnn Fornaro, Sammy's has outlived most other restaurants and the prohibition era to become a
legend in these parts because it consistently serves its clientele the best. |
